Job Description:

  • Regulatory Reporting & IPO Readiness

    • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.

    • Lead the timely preparation of Group consolidated financial statements and Annual Report, ensuring full compliance with Bursa Malaysia’s listing requirements and relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., SC, MFRS, LHDN).

    • Ensure financial statements adhere to Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other relevant accounting standards.

  • Strategic Financial Management

    • Support top management in developing and executing financial and funding strategies in line with the company’s IPO plans and overall business direction.

    • Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted targets, highlighting variances and driving corrective actions.

    • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing strategic insights for decision-making.

    • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to optimize company performance.

  • Governance, Compliance & Team Leadership

    • Ensure full compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.

    • Establish, review, and enhance financial SOPs and internal control systems to improve operational efficiency and mitigate risks.

    • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and financial institutions for audit, tax, and financing matters.

    • Oversee payroll processing in compliance with labour and tax laws.

    • Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Project & Operational Support

    • Support costing and pricing strategies for interior design projects.

    • Collaborate closely with project and operational teams to ensure financial accuracy and discipline.

    • Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is highly preferred.

  • Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is required.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 4-5 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and taxation laws in Malaysia.

  • Prior experience in interior design, construction, or consultancy industries is an advantage.

  • Familiar with IPO processes and public listing financial requirements is a strong plus.

  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
