As a critical thought partner to Sales Leadership, the Sales Analytics Manager plays a strategic role in shaping the commercial agenda through robust analytics, predictive insights, and data-driven foresight. This role is the engine behind informed decision-making, enabling Nestlé Malaysia to win in an increasingly competitive FMCG landscape by unlocking growth opportunities, enhancing commercial effectiveness, and maximizing customer and channel value.
A day in the life of...
1) Strategic Sales Intelligence
Own the end-to-end commercial analytics framework across channels and key customers, delivering actionable insights that directly impact revenue, growth, and market leadership.
Drive executive-level reporting and storytelling to support business performance reviews, strategy alignment, and future-focused decision-making.
2) Performance Acceleration & Efficiency Projects
Be the analytical driver behind route-to-market transformations, in-store excellence tracking, and sales productivity initiatives.
Spearhead cross-functional data projects to eliminate inefficiencies and embed scalable tools and practices.
3) Commercial Investment & ROI Strategy
Partner with Key Account Managers and Finance to ensure every Ringgit invested delivers optimal return.
Lead post-evaluation of trade promotions and customer programs to enhance profitability and resource allocation.
4) Sales Forecasting & Demand Optimization
Lead sales forecast accuracy improvement by integrating historical trends, customer intelligence, and market dynamics.
Actively shape the monthly Integrated Customer Planning (ICP) cycle by providing risk analysis, opportunity sizing, and scenario planning.
5) Leadership & Collaboration
Influence senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to embed a data-first culture in strategic planning.
Coach and elevate the capability of analysts and business partners, building a high-impact commercial analytics function.
6) Project Management
Able to manage projects, plan, establish a deadline and monitor the progress of the project, organize and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
What Will Make You Successful,
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science or related field with minimum 2 years Commercial Experience- Experience in Market Research & Analyst
- Knowledge of interrelationship of key functions and their key initiatives (Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Shopper insight)
- Knowledge of Integrated Commercial Planning process
- Basic knowledge of Nestlé Management and Leadership Principles, NiM Function,
- Knowledge of Market Intelligence, Category/Channel/Shopper trends and research and market data sourcing
- Knowledge in IT/IS system & processes
