  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

  1. Open Chrome on your computer.
  2. Click. then Settings.
  3. Click Privacy and Security.
  4. Click Site settings.
  5. Click JavaScript.
  6. Select Sites can use Javascript.

Responsibilities:

  • Database Management: Create and maintain Postgres geodatabase models.
  • Spatial Data Analysis: Analyze spatial data using mapping software.
  • Map Design: Design digital maps incorporating geographic and other data sources.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Produce reports and data visualizations of geographic data for demonstration purposes.
  • Library Management: Manage a digital library of geographic maps in various file types for demonstration purposes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team to develop GIS solutions.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to gather user information and provide technical assistance.
  • Implementation Support: Provide GIS technical assistance during the implementation stage.
  • Troubleshooting: Assist end users with troubleshooting issues and report to the principal for further assistance if needed.
  • Event Participation: Participate in principal-organized events such as product launches, training sessions, and hands-on workshops.
  • In-house Events: Assist in organizing and supporting in-house events from a technical perspective.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • GIS certifications such as GISP (Geographic Information Systems Professional) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a similar industry or with multinational clients.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Postgres and geodatabase management.
  • Strong knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Experience with spatial data analysis and digital map design.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Customer-oriented with strong service and troubleshooting skills.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to participate in external and in-house events.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and processes.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL is an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,563.69 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ara Damansara: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
