We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall inventory management. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and arrange international shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare shipping and customs documents accurately and in compliance with regulations.
  • Work closely with freight partners, forwarding agents, and internal teams to coordinate logistics activities.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition.
  • Assist the Shipping Manager in managing import and export activities via sea freight, including shipment bookings, coordinating delivery, trucking, and transport.
  • Ensure all shipping documents and processes comply with Customs and regulatory requirements for smooth cargo clearance.
  • Monitor and update container movement planning to optimize logistics flow.
  • Oversee timely and accurate shipping arrangements and documentation for sea freight.
  • Handle the full set of shipping documents for import and export shipments.
  • Coordinate shipment requirements with shipping lines, forwarding agents, customers, and internal teams.
  • Monitor shipment status closely, resolve logistical issues, and address delays promptly to maintain efficient operations.
  • Liaise with forwarding agents, customers, and authorities for shipping and customs clearance processes.
  • Plan and optimize container loading by calculating the number of cartons or pallets that can be efficiently loaded into various container sizes (e.g., 20ft, 40ft) based on product dimensions, stacking limits, and weight restrictions, leveraging load optimization techniques and tools to maximize space utilization and ensure safe, compliant loading278.
  • Maintain organized records, including K1, K2, and other shipping-related documents.
  • Load and unload materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments and receipts using inventory management systems and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Communicate with warehouse, production, and purchasing departments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials.
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits.
  • Improve logistics efficiency by identifying process improvements and maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in all shipping and receiving activities..

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations, shipping documentation, and freight forwarding processes
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics software.
  • Not suitable for fresh graduates as the role requires prior knowledge in shipping and logistics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
