Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team, specializing in interior fit-out construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing specialized fit-out elements such as bespoke joinery, lighting systems, partitioning, furniture installation, and finishes (e.g., paint, cladding, acoustic panels), while maintaining a keen eye on budget and design alignment.

Job Responsibilities:

1.BOQ Generation and Management:

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing specific to interior fit-outs (e.g., joinery, MEP systems, finishes).
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in measurements, cost calculations, and documentation.
  • Communication: Acting as a bridge between the HOD/GM/DGM, design team, and contractors to align financial and project objectives.
  • Prepare and generate detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on customer requirements, project specifications, and product details.
  • Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and specifications, while evaluating subcontractor quotation and negotiating prices.
  • Conduct on-site measurements of completed fit-out elements (e.g., drywall, flooring, ceilings- if applicable) and prepare interim valuations for progress payments.
  • Collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, and project managers to align the scope of work with the design vision while maintaining commercial viability.
  • Update and maintain BOQ templates to reflect current product offerings, pricing, and technical specifications.
  • Prepare and negotiate final accounts, ensuring all costs, variations, and claims are reconciled at project closeout.

2. Sales Support and Coordination:

  • Assist the sales team in preparing quotations, proposals, and tender documents.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales team, clients, and internal departments (e.g., production, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth order processing.
  • Track and follow up on sales orders to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Value Engineering: Recommending cost-effective alternatives for materials or methods without compromising quality or design intent.
  • Procurement Support: Assisting in supplier and subcontractor selection by evaluating quotes and negotiating terms.

3. Administrative Support:

  • Organize and manage sales-related documents, including contracts, invoices, and delivery notes.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare presentations, and assist with other administrative tasks as required.
  • Support the sales team in achieving their targets by providing timely and efficient coordination.
