Job Summary: The Wood Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and overseeing wood manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves process analysis, equipment specification, material evaluation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and international partners—including Mandarin-speaking clients and suppliers—to enhance production capabilities and product performance. Key Responsibilities: 1.Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes specific to wood processing and production. 2.Analyze workflow, machinery, and material usage to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste. 3.Evaluate raw wood materials for suitability in various applications and processes. 4.Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards throughout all processing stages. 5.Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to introduce new techniques and products. 6.Maintain accurate process documentation, technical reports, and production data. 7.Coordinate with international suppliers and Mandarin-speaking clients to align on process capabilities and specifications. 8.Lead process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements: •Education: Bachelor’s degree in Wood Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. •Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in wood processing, manufacturing engineering, or industrial operations involving wood products. •Skills: •In-depth knowledge of wood properties, drying methods, machining, and lamination •Experience with CAD/CAM systems, process simulation, and manufacturing automation •Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools •Language: Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is essential for coordination with overseas stakeholders.
