4. Minimum Qualifications Position 1: English language Studies, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics

  • Candidates must possess a PhD in Linguistics/Applied Linguistics/Language Studies, or a closely related field, specialization in English language.
  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics, Language Studies, or a related field.
  • A Strong publication record and experience in teaching and supervision are highly desirable.
  • A passion for both teaching and research is essential.

    Position 2: Communication

    • Candidates must possess a PhD in Communication/Media Studies, or a closely related field.
    • Bachelor's degree in Applied Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
    • A Strong publication record and experience in teaching and supervision are highly desirable.

        6. Language Qualifications

        All candidates must have obtained:-a. Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level ORequivalent qualification recognized by the Government (for Malaysian citizens).b. IELTS Band 6 / MUET Band 4. Candidate without any of these qualification will be required to sit for the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test.
