Job Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for the introduction of new production lines, processes, or equipment, new production flow plans, and overall schedule planning during layout development, build-out design, and equipment installation.
- Implement continuous improvement projects for the production process or equipment to improve operational effectiveness, utilization, productivity, and yield.
- Coordinate and monitor overall project execution to ensure all activities are executed per schedule and without interruptions to production operations.
- Ensure the equipment installed is qualified for production use and all outstanding issues and concerns are addressed and followed through.
- Accomplish project goals and objectives in compliance with work procedures, workflows, project timelines, and budget allocation.
- Adhere to the statutory environment, health and safety rules and regulations, and demonstration of good housekeeping.
- Prepare and compile project information for process flow, equipment layout, equipment utility matrix information, and equipment capacity analysis.
- Plan and design process or equipment layout for optimal and smooth production flow, maintainability, safety, and clean room floor space utilization.
- Contribute technical support to new products, processes, equipment upgrading and development, and other equipment engineering-related matters.
- Understand and be well versed with the production process flow and requirements.
- Represent the department in ensuring project/equipment commissioning and buy-off are based on Acceptance Test Procedures [ATP] and in accordance with the department's ISO procedures.
- Resolve equipment or production issues and conflicts encountered during project execution.
- Decision-making in equipment selection, equipment design and specification, pricing negotiation, and equipment maker or supplier selection.
- Any relevant and lawful task that may be assigned by the superior from time to time in line with and commensurate with the job grade and position title.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical or other related Engineering courses.
- Knowledge of CAD and experience in semiconductor wafer and assembly production engineering is an added advantage.
- Project leadership skills and teamwork at all functional levels.
- Project management skills in planning, organizing, coordination, execution, and resource management.
- Command good working relationships internally within the department and externally with users and other departments.
