What You Will Do
- Develop and optimize injection molding processes to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Perform mold validations, process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), and root cause analysis for molding-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including tooling, design, manufacturing, and quality) to ensure successful implementation of new products or process improvements.
- Conduct troubleshooting and provide technical support to resolve equipment and process-related problems.
- Implement and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and cycle time reductions.
- Utilize statistical methods and data analysis tools to monitor process capability and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Train production personnel on new processes and equipment operation.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (min 3 years) working in injection molding processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mold design, materials selection, and processing parameters.
- Hands-on experience with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and statistical analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using CAD, NX software and molding simulation tools (e.g., Moldflow).
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Must be able to clearly speak, read, write and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace.
