Manager, Operational Risk (Life Insurance)

You will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the identification, assessment and mitigation of operational risks associated with business activities of Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia (“ALIM”). This role will involve working with stakeholders across all departments in ALIM. The position will report directly to Head of Risk.

You'll be responsible for:

• Coordinate identification, assessment and monitoring of Operational Risks across the company and recommend/follow-up on mitigation actions.
• Conduct reviews to conclude on the effectiveness of the internal control system related to operational risk management.
• Maintain company-wide operational risk data including risk register, key risk indicators, loss events and perform the required reporting into the systems of Allianz SE Group and/or Bank Negara.
• Promote awareness and understanding of operational risks amongst employees and foster a culture that is conducive effective risk management.

Important to your success:

• Experience in process reviews and possess understanding of the application of risk management practices.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Risk Management or Internal Audit, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and adhere to deadlines.
