Overview:

We are seeking an innovative and visionary Head of Product to lead our product team in a dynamic payment gateway company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting and executing the product strategy, managing Product OKRs, and ensuring that our products meet the evolving needs of our merchants while positioning us at the forefront of the payment industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision:


  • Develop and implement a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals and market opportunities.
  • Continuously evaluate market trends, customer feedback, and the competitive landscape to identify new product opportunities and enhancements.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, features, and partnerships that keep the company ahead of industry trends.


Leadership & Team Management:


  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations for the product team, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and marketing, to ensure seamless product development and launch.


Product Development:


  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery of features and products that meet merchant needs.
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business impact, customer feedback, and resource availability.
  • Ensure that product development is aligned with the latest payment industry standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements.


Managing Product OKRs:


  • Define, track, and manage Product Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Regularly review OKR progress, adjust strategies as needed, and ensure that the product team remains focused on high-impact initiatives.
  • Communicate OKR progress and outcomes to the executive team, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.


Merchant-Centric Focus:


  • Develop a deep understanding of our merchants’ needs and pain points to create products that deliver exceptional value and user experience.
  • Work closely with the sales and customer success teams to gather insights and feedback from merchants, using this data to inform product decisions.


Performance & Metrics:


  • Define and track key product metrics to measure success, drive continuous improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Regularly report on product performance, providing insights and recommendations to the executive team.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the fintech or payments industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and scaling product teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of payment gateways, digital payments, and the broader fintech landscape.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience with setting and managing OKRs to drive product and business success.
