As an English Language Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering academic programs designed to enhance the English language skills of students. Your responsibilities will include preparing lesson plans, evaluating student performance, and maintaining a conducive learning environment. Collaboration with fellow instructors and adherence to center policies will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned ELS academic programs as directed by the Academic Director or Academic Coordinator.
  • Prepare lesson plans, exercises, and tests.
  • Evaluate and counsel students regarding their classroom performance.
  • Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Coordinate instruction, attendance records, and evaluations with other teachers.
  • Complete administrative paperwork as required.
  • Maintain performance and attendance records.
  • Manage center resource materials and files.
  • Refer non-academic problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in professional development activities and administrative meetings.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of neat classrooms and staff areas.
  • Substitute in emergency situations when necessary.

Education

Minimum Requirements

  • B.Ed / BA/BSc. + CELTA or other TEFL/TESOL (minimum 120 hours)

Experience

  • At least 4 years of relevant ESL/EFL experience, both in-person and online teaching.
