About The Role
As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of products through rigorous physicochemical and sensory analysis at various stages of processing. You will also oversee the daily operations of the laboratory to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and package product samples for customer requests and external lab tests.
- Conduct lab analyses, including physicochemical tests (e.g., pH, Brix, salt, viscosity) and sensory evaluations.
- Communicate with the production team regarding the go/no-go decision for subsequent processing steps based on analytical results.
- Enter test results into the ERP system (SAP).
- Perform in-house calibration of instruments (e.g., pH meters, refractometers) and coordinate external instrument calibration.
- Manage inventory of benchmark/reference samples.
- Prepare chemicals and standardize titrants.
- Conduct CIP chemical titration to verify chemical concentration.
- Perform cleaning verification surface swabs (e.g., ATP swabs, allergen swabs).
- Support new product trials.
- Monitor and requisition consumables stock.
- File and archive lab documents.
- Maintain overall lab orderliness and cleanliness.
- Promptly report any deviations, deficiencies, non-conformities, or abnormalities in lab operations to the QA Officer and Assistant Process QA Manager.
- Diploma or Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Prior experience in a similar lab environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience with lab equipment and procedures, including calibration and maintenance.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for data entry and management.
- Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Energetic, flexible, and innovative, with a willingness to adapt to new challenges and technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and documenting results.
