Who You'll Work With
You’ll be part of McKinsey ASO Visual Graphics & Media team, working in our Kuala Lumpur office in Malaysia. Our team provides support in visual communications for McKinsey consultants and our clients in Southeast Asia (ASO). As a Business Presentation Designer, you will work primarily on presentation projects daily, collaborating with consultants and peer designers to deliver compelling business presentations.
Our team is part of a global design community in McKinsey that interacts regularly with various regional and global functions to exchange knowledge and best practices.
What You'll Do
You will help our consultants tell their stories using the most creative and engaging presentation content.
In this role, you will serve as thought partner to work closely with consultants to develop ideas and provide compelling and effective visual communication solutions for a wide variety of needs. This could range from single slide production in PowerPoint for a kick-off meeting to customized presentation design, and alternative storytelling solutions such as data visualization and infographic/illustration. You will create materials in compliance with our firm guidelines and brand requirements, ensuring high quality and positive audience experience, in a timely manner.
You will have opportunities to manage various stages in request coordination reviewing incoming queries, advising consultants, and negotiating timelines according to team capacity. In team problem-solving, you will bring your own ideas to co-create best practices and continuously improve our work. Through diverse initiatives, you will have opportunities to shape our future service delivery and drive team growth and development. Qualifications
- Graduate in a design-related field such as graphic design, advertising design or Visual communications
- 2+ years of professional experience in a graphic-related field
- Able to communicate fluently and effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English as well as Bahasa Melayu language
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite with emphasis on PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (CC) a requirement
- Ability to express ideas graphically, problem-solve and communicate complex ideas effectively
- Quality-driven mindset with strong eye for layout and design and excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in fast-paced environment, to prioritize and organize work schedule to meet deadlines
- Customer service focus; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills, share knowledge and experience with peers, open mindset towards change and eagerness for continuous improvement
