They are seeking a Finance Section Head to oversee the financial operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Financial Accounting: Lead the accounting function to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with MPERs, group policies, and local regulations. Manage cash and banking relationships, monitor working capital, and ensure liquidity while supporting management decision-making through financial data.
  • Cost Accounting: Implement and manage an efficient cost accounting system, ensuring the accuracy of cost data across all systems. Provide training to help staff and management interpret costs and support accurate quotations.
  • Reporting: Produce and analyze monthly financial reports, offering actionable insights to company management, corporate teams, and external authorities. Ensure reports are meaningful and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, gathering input from relevant departments, and presenting the budget with comprehensive commentary to corporate management and the Board of Directors.
  • Sub-Ledger Supervision: Supervise all sub-ledgers, including payables, receivables, salaries, stock, and fixed assets. Ensure timely reconciliation of ledgers and coordinate updates to maintain accurate financial information.
  • ERP Management: Act as the system manager for the ERP system, specifically focusing on accounting and cost-related processes. Liaise with external consultants to optimize ERP use for business processes.
  • Cost Control: Provide regular feedback to relevant departments on cost management. Review expense reports and maintain tight control over company expenses.
  • Cash and Credit Management: Oversee cash flow forecasts, manage credit portfolios, negotiate with banks, and assess the financial health of customers and suppliers to ensure liquidity at minimal cost.
  • Insurance: Ensure adequate insurance coverage for high-value risks like property and liability, in compliance with the companys policies.
  • Taxes: Manage the company's tax declarations and payments, ensuring compliance with local tax laws while minimizing liabilities.
  • Company Secretarial Matters: Ensure compliance with local laws regarding company secretarial duties.


Job Requirements:

  • Education: University degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within an international manufacturing company. Strong background in cost accounting preferred.
  • Knowledge: Proficiency in MPERs, ERP systems, and Malaysian tax laws. Fluency in English is required.
