Projects

• Database migration project to ensure flexibility in the database when scaling
• Optimise cloud cost and performance
• Take over from the existing Architect who has set the foundations for your success.
  
  
  

Responsibilities

• Improve & standardize development practices
• Introduce new techniques and libraries (existing libraries have been created)
• End to end design of new releases, deployment and project management
  
  
  

Team

• Reporting to the CTO you will work with engineering (80%) and Cloud / SRE
• In time there you will be more involved with sales / product / founders.
• The CTO has an R&D mindset; is open to new ideas, opinions & technologies
  
  
  

Must Have

• Backend JavaScript (Node.JS / Typescript)
  
  
  

Nice to have

• Database migration
• Cloud (Azure / Azure Cosmos)
• MongoDB , MySQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL
• React
  
  
  

Levels:

• This is a 100% hands on individual contributor role (IC)
• Reporting to the CTO as their strategic right hand man
  
  
  

Location:

• Hybrid - 4 days a week from KL office
  
  
  

Encouraged to apply

• Lead / principal engineer who wants to transition into an architecture role or you may be a tech lead who wants a more strategic IC role.
• This role has a broad scope of work that covers solution, software, database and cloud architecture. You are not expected to be an expert at all.
