Responsibilities

Lead and be part of a small team of developers.
Develop new or enhance existing features for Bukku products with one of many focus areas: Frontend App (React), Backend API (Laravel, Python), Mobile App (Hybrid).
Optimise code for best efficiency and maintainability across devices and browsers.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications efficiently.
Drive technical and architecture design discussions.
Define engineering best practices for team.
Conduct code reviews and ensuring code adheres to best practices and internal code quality standards.
Participate in Scrum events and work closely with other Scrum team members.

Requirements

At least 5 years solid experience in modern web development, preferably JavaScript / PHP / Python.
Solid experience in modern web development frameworks, preferably React / Laravel.
Solid experience in designing RESTful APIs / GraphQL.
Solid experience in constructing efficient database queries and query optimisation.
Basic understanding of *nix commands and server administration.
Good knowledge in HTML5, CSS3 and any modern CSS frameworks.
Highly analytical with strong logical thinking.

PHP 8+ (Laravel 8+).

JavaScript: React, Router, Redux, Redux Saga, Styled Components.

AWS (EC2, RDS, SES, S3) & Microsoft Azure.
