A global player in consumer goods industry, setting up a SSC in Malaysia.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of FR specialists. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
- Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., accounting, internal audit, and operations) to gather necessary data and ensure accurate reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and internal controls. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations (GAAP/IFRS).
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
