Project Lead - Finance System Implementation (Property Development/ Investment)

Are you a financial expert in property development or investment accounting with a passion for business process improvement and systems implementation? If so, this role is for you!

We’re looking for a Project Lead to take charge of the successful implementation of a finance system designed specifically for the property development and property investment sectors. In this high-impact role, you’ll work closely with our financial operations team, IT department, and our systems vendor to drive a smooth transition from manual processes to a fully automated, digital system.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Expertise in Malaysian property development accounting and property investment accounting.
• Demonstrated experience leading finance system implementation(s) from initiation to go-live.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to execute activities, manage timelines, stakeholders and vendors effectively.
• Excellent understanding of accounting standards and financial controls.
• Experienced in executing and managing System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with the ability to identify and resolve system gaps.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to engage and lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of the financial system, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders from finance, IT, and external vendors, ensuring the timely completion of milestones and project goals.
• Drive business process reengineering to optimize workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
• Execute SIT and UAT processes, ensuring system functionality and readiness for go-live.
• Coordinate data migration, ensuring a seamless transition from manual to automated finance operations.
• Develop and roll out training programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure successful system adoption.
