In this role, you will play a critical role in shaping Gentari’s growth and success by identifying and executing strategic Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) transactions. You will work closely with the executive team to evaluate opportunities, perform due diligence, negotiate deals and drive expansion of Gentari’s renewable energy portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Deal Sourcing: Identify potential M&A targets and investment opportunities, including solar, wind, hydro and other technologies;
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis including valuations, pro forma financial modelling and risk assessment to evaluate feasibility of M&A transactions;
  • Due Diligence: Lead due diligence efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to assess legal, financial, operational and technical aspects of potential acquisitions;
  • Deal Structuring: Collaborate with legal and finance teams to structure M&A deals, negotiate terms, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives;
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes in the renewable energy sector to identify potential opportunities and threats;
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate risks associated with M&A transactions, ensuring a smooth and successful integration process.

Requirements

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with a Master’s Degree in Finance, Business or Engineering;
  • Minimum 10 years of proven track record in M&A, with a focus in renewable energy;
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills;
  • Proven track record of successful execution of M&A transactions;
  • Excellent negotiation and deal structuring abilities.
