Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as an Assistant Finance Manager at Pecca Group Berhad in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Assistant Finance Manager will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, supporting financial planning, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Job responsibilities:

Company Secretarial:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices regarding corporate governance under the Companies Act 2016, Bursa Malaysia Main Market Listing Requirements, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Liaise and work alongside the external company secretary on all company secretarial matters.
  • Handle the full spectrum of the company secretarial duties, including the preparation and review of board resolutions, minutes, agenda, statutory documents, Bursa Malaysia announcements, etc.
  • Monitor and manage statutory deadlines for filing annual returns, financial statements, and other required documents.
  • Ensure that information lodged with all relevant authorities is correct and accurate.
  • Coordinate and organize board and shareholder meeting.
  • Assist in the overall preparation of Annual Report, including CG Overview Statement, Audit and Risk Management Committee Report, Statement of Risk Management and Internal Control, Directors' Responsibility Statement, Financial Statements etc.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of secretarial and statutory records.

Legal & Risk

  • Liaise with and work alongside external legal advisors to review all legal documents and matters in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and coordinate risk profile, register, and report according to plan, ensuring they meet acceptable deliverable standards.
  • Conduct periodic assessments and analyses of current business objectives to identify and review existing or emerging risks.
  • Review and evaluate the effectiveness of controls implemented for identified risks

Investor Relations

  • Liaise with and work alongside the external Investor Relations consultant for all related activities, events, briefings etc.
  • Review press releases, presentation decks, announcements, and other materials prepared by the external investor Relations consultant for various corporate purposes.
  • Assist in preparing presentation decks for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in the business development and corporate finance activities by analyzing financial data, preparing analysis reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making in evaluating M&A and investment opportunities.

Group Finance

  • Assist in the overall preparation of group reporting matters in a timely manner, including but not limited to group consolidation, financial repot and analyses, management reports, financial statements, board papers, presentation decks, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow, fund management, taxations, etc.
  • Monitor and manage various aging categories, including inventories, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, etc. Communicate with the relevant stakeholders, including customers and vendors, about collection and payment statuses, and respond promptly to any inquiries.
  • Assist in annual audit and tax compliance of the company and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, local authorities, etc.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of corporate finance and merger and acquisition activities to ensure that timelines are met.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of accurate, complete, and up to date accounting records for the timely production of management accounts and relevant reports.
  • Lead or participate in ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by superior from time to time.
Job requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or any related professional financial qualification.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACC, CPA, MICPA, MIA or equivalent are an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experiences.
  • Relevant experience in company secretarial work, finance, accounting or auditing with a focus on statutory reporting, financial analysis, management reporting and compliance will be preferred.
  • Well versed with the Companies Act requirements, corporate secretarial practices, MFRS/IFRS, Bursa Malaysia Main Market Listing Requirements and other related regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in auditing/internal control will have an added advantages.
  • Pleasant personality, proactive, meticulous with strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken in English and Malay. (Able to converse in Mandarin will be an added advantages)
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office especially in Excel and Power Point.
  • Familiar with SAP will be an added value.
  • Able to multi-task, working independently and being a team player.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
