As a key member of the Fine Chemicals Business Unit, the Regional Sales Manager will oversee the sales force structures and coordinate sales & marketing efforts, working towards maintaining and strengthening the Business Unit’s performance. He/She will play an integral role in the success of the team. Functional responsibilities include: -

Role and Responsibilities

  • Plans, controls and directs sales activities to achieve maximum sales volume in line with revenue scaling target and assigned budgets.
  • To develop maximum sales potential from all global key accounts and relevant markets.
  • Ensure a high level of market penetration through territorial coverage sales activities.
  • Actively pursue and create a pipeline of new business opportunities in the region to maximize revenue generation, market penetration and profit.
  • Conduct cold calls and canvass to increase effective work prospects.
  • Dynamic builder of relationships with key customers and improve customer satisfaction.

Job Success Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering with at least 7 years of experience in the chemical industry. Alternatively, a Degree in Business with affinity and understanding of the chemical/technical business environment.
  • Must have experience doing export sales.
  • Experience in the oleochemical or tobacco industry would be an added advantage.
  • A commercially astute and customer-focused individual with a solid sales track record and a proven ability to foster strong business relationships.
  • Strong understanding of costs and industry price trends.
