About the role

Oddle Malaysia is seeking a Business Development Specialist who is equally excited and passionate as us to drive significant impacts in the F&B industry as we continue to elevate our presence in the Malaysian market.

As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, onboarding potential F&B merchants as partners with our suite of online and dine-in solutions, and manage the entire sales cycle from pitching to closing deals, thereby expanding our restaurant clientele in Malaysia.

What you will do

  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities through various channels including online research, cold-calling, cold-emailing or visiting targeted restaurants, as well as pursuing inbound leads provided by the Marketing team
  • Manage and monitor a strong pipeline of qualified leads
  • Understand the needs and challenges of potential F&B merchants and demonstrate how Oddle’s suite of products & solutions can grow their businesses
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of pipeline status and figures
  • Work closely with the Onboarding team to ensure a smooth and timely transition for new merchants to go live
  • Develop and sustain strong, long-term relationships with clients in the F&B sector, creating success stories
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of key trends and developments in the local F&B industry
  • Provide recommendations to the product development team for enhancements and improvements, based on merchants’ feedback and market demands

Who we're looking for

  • At least 3 years of field sales experience with a proven track record of consistent target achievement. Experience in F&B / F&B eCommerce industry will be advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Bilingual with proficiency in Mandarin to engage with Mandarin-speaking clients is an advantage.
  • Solid persuasion and negotiation skills, with a sound business acumen
  • Strongly disciplined and sound time management skill
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability in managing personal sales pipeline and targets
  • A self-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced and highly agile environment
  • A team player, an entrepreneurial spirit who is self-started, resourceful, able to drive actions and inspire people around you
