Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Security Manager at Dorsett Kuala Lumpur. The Safety Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing physical security, security management, information security, cybersecurity, and network security on a daily basis to ensure the safety and security of the hotel premises and guests.

  • Develop and implement the safety and security policy.
  • Monitor the hotel premises and ensure all safety and security protocols are followed.
  • Identify and address potential safety and security risks.
  • Crime prevention and investigation.
  • Investigate any incidents that occur on the hotel premises.
  • Follow OSHA, ERT and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all safety and security incidents.
  • Respond to any emergencies.
  • Resolve complaints and address guest/staff concerns promptly.
  • Monitoring security systems including security patrols, surveillance systems, door locking mechanisms, control of restricted areas, monitoring of master keys, etc.
  • Initiate and maintain policies and procedures for general safety and security.
  • Conduct regular security meetings.
  • Supervise the security team, ensuring that security staff do their jobs properly.
  • Maintain good working relationships with management and members of other departments.
  • Keeping up-to-date with world news and hospitality security trends as well as plenty of other duties.
  • Implement and supervise regularly Hotel Safety & Security Management and Fire Prevention Regulations across all departments.
  • Ensure the protection of hotel property, guests, team members and their properties.
  • Organize daily patrols and security checks throughout the hotel.
  • Report and remove any potential accident or fire hazards to the Management.
  • Plan emergency procedures for fire and security as well as organize drills.
  • Conduct on-site guidance and rescue work for emergencies such as fire and explosions.
  • Conduct safety and fire prevention training for team members.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with the relevant government organizations.
  • Ensure that reporting and servicing deadlines are met.
  • Ensure that all team members understand and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations as well as security and emergency policies and procedures.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Physical Security and Security Management skills
  • Experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, and Network Security
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Certifications in security management or related fields are a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field
