Head of Treasury

Head of Treasury is responsible for overseeing the treasury function of the company, including cash management, liquidity planning, risk management, and capital structure strategy. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and strategic thinking to ensure optimal financial health and risk management for the organization. The Head of Treasury will work closely with senior management, providing insights and recommendations to support business growth and financial stability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Group Billings, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions; as well as daily cash reporting and bank reconciliation process
• Manage the Payables function ensuring timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices, including improvement in the validation and payment process, review of system, purchase requisition / purchase order processes, 3-way matching processes and internal control
• Manage collections and debtors' aging, improve collection efficiencies
• Manage Group & projects' working capital & trade finance requirements, report on the daily group cash position, cashflow forecast, identifying risks and mitigating actions
• Produce and maintain bank, debtor and creditor balance sheet reconciliations
• Drive system implementations and improvements
• Create a cohesive team working function through training and staff development

Requirements

• Experience in a combined AR/AP Function.
• Previous management experience, ideally within shared service environment
• Demonstrable experience of working capital operations, process improvement, internal control and new system roll-out.
• Clear and efficient communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and drive change
