We are currently seeking an IT Support Level 1 professional to join our team, supporting an international insurance company based in Kuala Lumpur. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a global, fast-paced environment, providing crucial technical support to ensure smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support to internal users, resolving IT-related issues and incidents.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related problems efficiently.
- Respond to support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system in a timely manner.
- Assist in setting up and configuring new systems, applications, and user accounts.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support when necessary, following established protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and monitoring of systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Document technical issues and solutions in a knowledge base for future reference.
- Provide guidance and support for basic user training when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and MS Office suite.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting (PCs, printers, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of email systems (Exchange or similar).
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and handle high-pressure situations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a multinational or insurance company environment.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and principles.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
