JOB PURPOSE

  • To understand business change needs
  • To assess the business impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements
  • To support the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders.“
  • To identify suitable solutions and initiate business process improvements
  • To support delivery of efficient and effective support services by all departments

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs impact analysis to identify process and procedure gaps within and across functional components.
  • Seeks thorough understanding of the exact requirements and functionality to produce a high level functional solution document.
  • Reviews and strengthens test cases prepared for all stages of testing (including UAT).
  • In depth understanding of business requirement and testing techniques and methodology and knows the right techniques/methods to apply for various scenarios.
  • Convinces the business users to accept alternatives / workarounds with a pragmatic solution
  • Ensuring all processes and applications to support product development meets distribution channels requirements and deliver satisfactory service levels.
  • To check on compliance in all aspects of regulatory and procedures both internal and external
  • To undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Superior.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Academic

  • A tertiary qualification majoring in any discipline or equivalent insurance and/or takaful qualification.

Professional

  • Having professional qualification in Business Process Improvements or its equivalent or MBA is an added advantage .

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in General Insurance or Takaful company with at least 1 years at management level
  • Has wide exposure in handling all aspects of General Insurance or Takaful operations.
  • Strategic thinking, strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Has exposure in Marketing, Finance and Claims is an added advantage.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Fundamental Competency

  • Result-oriented team player that is passionate about self-improvement and quality of work.
  • Highly independent, strong self-initiative, keen learner with leadership qualities.
  • Able to accept challenges and cope with demanding timeline.

Technical Skills

  • Understand Business Analysts process as per CIBA
  • Exposure in some programming languages

Soft Skills

  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia with good communication and interpersonal skills.
