What you'll be doing:

This position is to support programme development, programme review, administer Learning Needs Analysis, that is in line with the Global L&D directions, Global HR strategies, and overarching Business Directions & Needs. Create learning tools / material / modules that enable building competencies and capabilities that support the achievements of Business and Personal Development Goals.

Crafting and customizing generic programme that’s in tune to specific Business Unit’s needs and to cater to new projects. Instill positive learning culture by ensuring learning material is contemporary and relevant, work closely with Manager, Learning & Development (Training Delivery) to ensure training programme relevancy and up-to-date. Sourcing and accessing external training programme in request.

For new programme roll-out, support delivery during Proof of Concept / soft launch period, to prepare for certification of knowledge transfer.

Internal Customer Inquiries

  • Together with the Director, Global Learning & Development , to evaluate request for external / specific training by location / region.
  • Source and advise suitable programme in respond to skill/ knowledge gap needs within the Network.
  • Take part in new opening projects, crafting learning plan, and material accustomed to specific Business Unit’s needs.
  • Take charge and manage the company’s Learning Development System, drive the adoption rate and proactive learning in the platform.
  • Manage collaborative projects with PIC by advising, crafting and converting learning decks into Learning Development System.

Training and Development

  • Identifies and analyses training needs of the organization and individuals from performance gaps analysis, training needs analysis and service audit analysis.
  • Recommends and coordinates well-suited in-house training plans from external facilitators according to organizational priorities and resources.
  • Recommends and arranges for well-suited external public programs according to organizational priorities and resources.
  • Source and manage external e-learning materials well-suited for organizational needs.
  • Develops new and reviews existing training/ instructional materials, teaching aids and devices such as educational videos/ film, textbooks, handouts and slide presentations.
  • Support the delivery of in-house training programme in relation to soft skill trainings within the field of expertise in order for quality product and service delivery.
  • Regulates the Departmental Trainers team in their development and implementation of training modules for the respective divisions and operational basics emphasizing on functional skills training.
  • Determines quality and effectiveness of trainings conducted and (or) attended using various appropriate evaluation instruments.
  • Provides oversight of the operations and maintenance of the Learning Management System.
  • Evaluates electronic systems in support of training material and delivery.
  • Review Orientation programs periodically to ensure contents are relevant
  • To explore and take initiatives to know the learning trends, and material, tools, and programme
  • Manage the Research team’s productivity and performance quality
  • To continue to develop the Research team in their competence to research, to develop and review programme
  • Work with Location / Regional HR to obtain feedback on learning progress.

Special Projects

  • To conduct training programme whenever required, which may happen at odd hours in the circumstances of global time zone differences.
  • To work with key Operational stakeholders to obtain information about service satisfaction index, to work with key stakeholders on improvement plans.
  • To conduct service observations projects, and to recommend corrective programme.
  • To support new opening locations in conducting Pre-Opening Trainings, conducting Service Audits and setting up of Learning & Development structure for new locations.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Management.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum 3 year of relevant exposure with some leadership experience in an International Chain Hotel or Airline Food Catering Industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Psychology or Hospitality Management
  • Good online training, on the job training and coaching skills
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms, learning management system and practices is an advantage
  • Able to build rapport with colleagues, management and vendors
  • Able to challenge status quo and creatively find solutions to potential challenges
  • A self-starter and able to manage a stressful environment effectively
  • Good command in English both verbal and written to meet business needs
  • Good command in Mandarin both verbal and written is an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong analytical & data-driven mindset
  • Individuals who are eligible to work in Malaysia are highly preferred
