Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to lead and direct all financial aspects of their company. This role will involve ensuring compliance with MFRS and other statutory requirements, providing financial advisory on acquisitions, mergers, and business expansions, and developing insightful business plans to support business growth.

What You'll Do

As a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in leading all finance initiatives within the company.

  • Responsible for all finance initiatives which includes financial planning and policies, compliance, timely financial reporting in compliance with MFRS & other statutory requirements
  • Provide financial analysis on profitability and validity of business plans to the management, participate in strategic reviews and periodic assessments
  • Develop insightful business plans and strategy to support business growth
  • Responsible for effective planning and implementation of Supply Chain initiatives in the Finance Department.
  • Establish and drive Shared Services Centre to support cost-efficiency.
  • Manage the cash conversation cycle in order to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Drive and achieve monthly KPIs for the business and team.
  • Support overall financial performance, drive continuous improvement on financial processes and systems.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate for the Financial Controller role will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in finance, accounting or economics within a public listed company setup

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or economics or a professional qualification (ACCA/ CPA/ ICAEW/ MICPA) or equivalent
  • More than 8 years of working experience in a financial managerial position
  • Experience preferably in manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of MFRS & other statutory requirements
  • Experience in implementing supply chain initiatives within a Finance Department
