Investment Banking Analyst (Project-based Contract Position)

Opportunity Overview
We seek to hire motivated Investment Banking Analysts who wish to have exposure in all rounds of management advisory, such as financial advisory, growth strategy formulation, acquisition advisory, M&A target scouting, commercial due diligence, financial valuation, and so on. We seek candidates’ support for our various project engagement types. They include buy-side financial advisory for an international digital marketing company to acquire a peer in Southeast Asia, construction industry and competitive landscape assessment, competitiveness analysis of a food business operator, growth driver identification in the automation industry, financial advisory in acquiring a manufacturer, M&A target scouting in healthcare products, or any new pitching activities. Selected candidates will work for 1-3 months of project engagement under the supervision of a Project Director for project execution support. We will assign projects that fit your profile and experience in consulting and advisory business. Your main responsibility is to collect primary data via conducting phone/ web interviews with companies, visiting sites, reading academic reports, summarizing research output in Microsoft PowerPoint, and developing financial models in Microsoft Excel.
This position aims to prioritize hiring immediately available applicants to support our ongoing project assignments for two to three months. Candidates with a strategy consulting background who wish to explore a career in investment banking and M&A would be ideal. Candidates with outstanding performance will be given a chance for a full-time position.
Job Requirements
- Working experience in management consulting firms is a big plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under time pressure
- High interpersonal communication skills to be able to conduct industry B2B interviews with new people every day
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong sense of project ownership and growth mindset
