Job Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a vital member of the executive leadership team, responsible for strategic financial leadership, ensuring financial integrity, and driving the organization’s financial success. The CFO will guide the company’s financial strategy, planning, and execution, focusing on optimizing performance, managing risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Reporting to:

Managing Director (MD)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Strategy and Planning:
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and provide insights to support decision-making.
  3. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
  4. Ensure timely and accurate financial statements comply with accounting standards and adhere to statutory regulations in Malaysia.
  5. Budgeting and Forecasting:
  6. Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads to align with organizational goals and monitor performance against budgets.
  7. Risk Management:
  8. Identify financial risks and implement risk management strategies while maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets.
  9. Treasury and Cash Management:
  10. Manage cash flow and liquidity to optimize working capital and implement treasury practices to mitigate financial risks.
  11. Tax Planning and Compliance:
  12. Oversee tax planning initiatives to optimize tax positions and ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations.
  13. Leadership and Team Management:
  14. Lead and mentor the finance team to foster a high-performance culture and collaborate with functional leaders to achieve cross-functional objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a certified Chartered Accountant (CA) or hold other relevant certifications (MIA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, CPA).
  • Proven experience as a CFO or in senior financial management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations and reporting requirements.
