Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our innovative financial technology solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Model Design: Collaborate with the product delivery team to design data models and sets that support the functional and technical requirements of a multi-region operation.
• Data Architecture: Empower our software engineering team with optimized and scalable data architecture and infrastructure.
• DevOps and Automation: Embrace a DevOps mentality to enhance our data pipelines by automating manual processes, optimizing data flows, and resizing/refactoring infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
• ETL Processes: Build infrastructure to support ETL processes from various SaaS and cloud infrastructure data sources.
• Analytics Tools: Develop effective analytics tools that provide relevant and actionable insights.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• At least 3-5 years of technical experience, including:
• Big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Relational SQL and NoSQL databases: Postgres, Snowflake.
• Data pipeline and workflow management tools: Airflow, dbt, etc.
• AWS cloud services: EKS, EMR, RDS.
• Stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming.
• Programming languages: Python, Golang, NodeJs, Scala.
• Analytics platforms: Google Data Studio or similar.
• Nice to Have: Experience with low code platforms like Workato.
• Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures and algorithms
• Reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined individual.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent technical, analytical and organizational skills
