Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to provide the maintenance mechanical experience, best practices, lessons learnt input to the project during EPC phases to ensure facility design meet the regulatory, company and operation practice and standard.
  • Work with Project engineering to respond in operation and maintenance (Mechanical) deliverable.
  • Key member in Onshore Operation Readiness and Assurance (ORA) preparation
  • Lead Technician, Mechanical carry out and lead in predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of mechanical rotating and static equipment on Onshore Gas Plant and Gas Injection Platform Facilities. Troubleshoots breakdowns, executes repairs and reports major problems.
  • Perform and update preventive maintenance schedules and ensure safe and efficient implementation.
  • Maintains log of all mechanical work and performance data of equipment and machinery into Company’s database system. and ability of basic production operation.
  • Analyzes and updates the spare part catalogue and special mechanical tools.

Principal Accountabilities:

Project Phase

  • Be the operation representative in the project phase and represent asset owner (Mechanical) to ensure the facilities are designed and built to agreed standard, safe start up and continuous smooth operations.
  • Ensure operation assurance and operation excellence are incorporated including Mechanical lesson learn.
  • Provide Mechanical Operability and Maintainability input during EPC phase to ensure that Operations and Maintenance (Mechanical) requirements are incorporated into the facilities design.
  • Ensure that operability, maintainability, ergonomic and health factors for both normal and abnormal operations (Mechanical), including pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and shutdown, and upset conditions are considered in the facilities design.
  • Ensure Engineering design reviews are adequately represented from the Maintenance (Mechanical) perspective.
  • Start-up requirements are identified and incorporated into the design and execution strategy/schedule.
  • Support in Mechanical operating and maintenance manual and procedure development.
  • Key Member of Operation Readiness and Assurance (ORA Team).
  • Review Spare Parts List, OEM planned maintenance recommendations, CMMS and Data base preparation, asset register etc.

Operations Phase

  • Carry out and lead preventive maintenance or repair adhering to the plant safety procedure and in accordance with the maintenance job cards.
  • Perform routine checks and tests of mechanical equipment as per procedures and schedules.
  • Lead Maintenance team and Contractors during planned maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate and work with Lead Technician, Electrical and Instrumentation, operator and other departments when required.
  • Prepare the relevant material, consumable and/ or special tools when required.
  • Report any abnormal events, abnormal condition, or malfunction and at the completion of the job.
  • Be responsible for the repair/ maintenance of mechanical testing, measuring and safety equipment in the workshop.
  • Monitor the performance and perform fist line maintenance of plant mechanical equipment and package to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform basic production operator tasks as instructed by line supervisor.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance engineer to improve maintenance system when anomaly found.
  • Coordinate with Material Coordinator and Material Management team for the delivery of spare parts including issuing the requisition and following up of the spare part and material.
  • Support to mechanical technician when needed in troubleshooting.
  • Coach and share mechanical knowledge to junior technician.
  • Comply with and promote the Company’s SSHE policy, rules and regulations for all works under responsibility.
  • Act emergency response roles as being assigned in Site’s Emergency Response Plan
  • Review Spare Parts List, OEM planned maintenance recommendations, RAM study deliverables, RCM deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Diploma in Mechanical or related fields
  • 7 years’ experience in similar position
  • Field working experience in mechanical and not limited to rotating/static equipment, boilers, pumps, pressure vessel, valves, filters, lifting equipment etc. Hold valid certificate of Boiler and IEC Driver/Engineer is advantage.
  • Experience in H2S and CO2 oil and gas operating facilities.
  • Experience of Onshore Midstream or Refinery operations
  • Good communication, coordination and organizing skills with ability to work with minimal supervision and liaise effectively and efficiently within the team and others.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English.
  • Flexibility in mobility as per the project and operation requirements.
