As a Sales Manager, you’ll report to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the APAC region. Your main focus will be selling the company’s products to the infrastructure market segment. Additionally, you’ll serve as the primary relationship manager for a network of dealers across APAC who cater to the same market segment. Expect some travel—attending trade shows, conferences, and conducting product demonstrations.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Revenue Generation: Your mission is to boost company revenue.
- Partner Recruitment and Management: You’ll help recruit and manage partners within the market segment.
- Brand Awareness: Spread the word about our brand within this specific market.
- Product Demos and Workshops: Engage customers through product demonstrations and workshops.
- Collaboration with Product Management: Provide valuable feedback on product functionality, training, and documentation.
- Sales Support: Assist the wider sales team with quotes, order management, and project coordination.
- Teamwork: Collaborate seamlessly across different parts of the organization.
Requirements:
- Education: A minimum of a Degree in Engineering (preferably in Civil, Marine technology, or a related field).
- Experience: At least one year of technical sales experience, ideally in Civil Engineering, Survey, Maritime, or Marine technology.
- Skills: Excellent probing, listening, and presentation skills. Practical field skills (think knots, seamanship, and basic troubleshooting). Strong written and oral communication abilities are crucial.
- Cultural Adaptability: Success with international clients requires cultural sensitivity.
- Bonus Points: Familiarity with basic sonar theory and understanding the market segment, customer needs, and procurement processes.
- Customer-Centric: Good customer support skills are essential.
- Willingness to Travel: Be ready for short-notice travel.
