Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

Operation – Ensuring All Underwriting & Claims Teams across Asia Pacific are provided with support, including but not limited to:

  • Monitor and maintain electronic mailboxes for new submissions.
  • Logging and clearing submissions in a timely manner – in adherence with required KPI.
  • Accurately identify the products and lines of business for new submissions.
  • Input, maintain and ensure Integrity of data associated with all created/entered records.
  • Updating and maintaining other underwriting & claims systems.
  • Identify, prioritize and process Claims payments in adherence with SLA document.
  • Complete Loss Runs in adherence with SLA document.
  • Underwriting & claims file creation and maintenance.
  • Supervisor/Manager in migration and transitioning of new tasks to PST.
  • Complying with all training material and manual.

Leadership – Supervise and monitor team’s work commitments ensuring daily workflows are managed effectively and KPI/SLA maintained. Providing technical support and coaching to team members, acting as a Subject Matter Expert across all processes and a point of escalation. Deliver training for new hires & refresher trainings with knowledge inputs ensuring all team members achieve targeted competency and accuracy

Stakeholder Management – Proactively identify problems and challenges with the team or stakeholders and present possible solutions.

Quality Assurance – Perform monthly and quarterly Quality Checks of the team’s processed transactions. Continuing to seek improvement of the product and of self by the continuous improvement of practices and processes. Ensuring compliance with all legal, statutory and corporate affairs requirements on a timely basis.

Reporting – Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting of KPI/SLA statistics. This includes preparing daily aging report of any outstanding work that has been carried forward and present in daily scrum and rearrange resources if necessary.

About you

  • Ability to lead, train and motivate a team of 5-6
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Excellent organization skills – able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Possess hands on attitude and teamwork spirit
  • Proactive, results oriented and good interpersonal skills
  • Must possess at least a degree in any field.
  • Experience in a Team Leader role within the General Insurance/and or Insurance broking industry is good to have.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to be a self-starter and a flexible and positive team player
