Job Title: Senior Executive, HR Strategy and Rewards

Job Level: Senior Executive

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Head Talent Strategy, the Senior Executive, HR Strategy and Rewards will play a pivotal role in executing and overseeing talent strategy, supporting HR planning and budgeting processes, enhancing rewards and analytics initiatives, and managing HR projects. This position requires an individual with strong analytical skills, rewards skills and knowledge, project management capabilities, and the ability to align HR activities with the organization’s strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities

1. HR Strategies, Planning and Budgeting

  • Development and execution of talent strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to long-term HR planning efforts, including headcount forecasting, resource allocation, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Preparation and management of the HR budget in collaboration with finance and other departments.
  • Monitor HR expenditure, ensuring alignment to the approved budget and providing analysis on variances.
  • Support the recruitment and retention of top talent, ensuring the alignment of workforce planning with business needs.

2. Rewards Strategies

  • Design and implementation of competitive rewards programs to attract, retain, and motivate employees.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure the organization remains competitive in terms of compensation and benefits.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform the annual performance review, bonus, and salary increment cycles.
  • Collaborate on the implementation and administration of long-term incentive plans (LTIP) and other reward mechanisms.

3. HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Manage the collection, analysis, and interpretation of HR data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare regular HR reports and dashboards on key metrics such as turnover, employee engagement, compensation analysis, and workforce productivity.
  • Leverage analytics to provide insights and recommendations for improving HR practices and enhancing employee experience.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in HR analytics tools and processes.

4. HR Project Monitoring & Execution

  • Lead and monitor the progress of HR projects to ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure HR projects align with broader business objectives.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to senior leadership, identifying risks and recommending interventions to address challenges.

Education/Professional Qualification

  • Minimum tertiary education in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Compensation and Benefits, HR Analytics, or a related area is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with an initiative-driven mindset.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in HR strategy, rewards, compensation and benefits, or HR analytics.
  • Experience in developing and implementing rewards programs is essential.
  • Prior experience in HR project management and strategic HR planning is preferred.
