As the Accounts Manager, you will be expected to:
- Lead and Manage the Accounting Team: Recruit, develop, and oversee a small team of Accounts Executives and Accounts Assistants. Provide guidance and ensure high performance in all areas of accounting.
- End-to-End Financial Management: Oversee full sets of accounts including the General Ledger, Trial Balance, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Compliance & Regulatory Requirements: Ensure timely submission of SST, taxation, and statutory financial reporting. Stay updated on relevant regulations.
- Auditing & Taxation: Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and consultants to manage audit activities and ensure compliance with tax requirements.
- Management Reporting: Prepare financial reports for management, including forecasts, cash flow analysis, and tax planning.
- Operational Finance: Monitor credit terms, handle payments, and manage the reconciliation process to ensure the accuracy of all financial records.
- Cost Management: Assist with the costing of goods, especially for overseas purchases, ensuring accurate calculations and compliance.
- Banking & Financial Relations: Liaise with banks on matters such as facility reviews, fund placements, and payments, ensuring smooth banking operations.
- Asset Management: Maintain and update the fixed asset schedule, handling additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Stock Management: Coordinate with auditors for annual stocktake and ensure accurate reporting of stock levels across outlets.
Qualifications & Skills
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a small team in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in Auto-Count or similar accounting software, as well as Microsoft Office. Strong knowledge of financial management, taxation, and compliance.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy in all financial reporting.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to effectively liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, and government authorities.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to inform decision-making and improve business operations.
- Solid background in bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Experience managing or leading a team.
- Experience with audit and compliance processes.
- High proficiency in financial analysis and cost control.
- Ability to handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
