Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Manager/Accountant to join our team. This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of managing client relationships and overseeing financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to handle client inquiries with professionalism and efficiency. This position is open to Malaysian citizens only.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management:

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business relationship with our company, and ensuring they have a seamless payment experience.
  • Contract Management: Prepare, review, and manage client contracts, ensuring all terms are met and documented accurately.

Accounting:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded and balanced.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Reporting: Generate financial reports for management, highlighting key financial metrics and providing insights into financial performance.
  • Audit Support: Furnish necessary documents and financial records to auditors, ensuring timely and accurate provision of information during internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in account management or accounting, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Skills:
  1. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on client satisfaction.

Additional Requirements:

  • Certifications: CPA or CMA or ACCA certification is a plus.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Some travel may be required for client meetings.
