  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Title: Senior Database Administrator

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle and PostgreSQL databases and possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. This is a permanent role, and we are looking for local talent only.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with regional IT colleagues and technical leads to support database infrastructure.
  • Implement and monitor database backups, recovery processes, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Perform database tuning and optimization, including the monitoring of system health and performance.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and apply necessary patches and upgrades.
  • Participate in technical sessions, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support flexible work arrangements with occasional calls in the morning and evening.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience primarily with Oracle databases and ideally some experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record in a senior individual contributor role, preferably with experience reporting to senior management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage database systems without immediate supervision.
  • Familiarity with database security protocols and practices.
  • Experience working in a regional IT team with cross-functional collaboration.

Additional Information:

  • Permanent role with flexible work arrangement: 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home.
  • Not a 24x7 environment but may require occasional morning and evening calls due to time zone differences.
  • Employment Pass and Visa will be provided.
