Job responsibilities

1.Commissioning and Start-up (during Initial Commissioning and Start-up Phase):

Lead the overall Commissioning and start-up of this green field plant for Production unit

2. Production Oversight: Manage all aspects of production within the Production unit, including monitoring process parameters, equipment performance, and product quality. Ensure compliance with production schedules and targets.

3. Safety and Environmental Compliance: Uphold safety standards and environmental regulations, implementing measures to prevent accidents, incidents, and pollution. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.

Timely handling of the emergency situation/abnormal situation in the production unit, to ensure no harm to community, people, environment, reputation and assets /equipment

4. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity within the production unit. Implement process optimization initiatives and technology upgrades to maximize throughput and minimize costs.

5. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the production staffs, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance.

6. Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure the availability and reliability of equipment within the production unit. Schedule preventive maintenance activities and address equipment breakdowns or malfunctions promptly.

Steer the overall planning, discussion, review and implementation of the plant overhaul (turnaround) plan, including the operation shutdown and start-up plan, integrated unit improvement projects/plans, and availability of overhaul materials

7. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the consistent production of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Conduct product testing and analysis as needed to maintain quality standards. Ensure Quality product adhering to Product Quality management process, and timely highlighting and resolution of product quality issues

8. Budget Management: Develop and manage the annual operating budget for the production unit, optimizing resource allocation and controlling expenses. Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures where appropriate.

9. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and safety incidents. Prepare regular reports and performance metrics for management review, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

10. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to refinery operations. Ensure compliance with permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements related to production processes and emissions.

Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor degree in Chemical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent, and more than 15 years of related work experience in oil refining/petrochemical production and related technology

• Experience in Hydro processing & Distillation (oil refinery/oleochemicals)

• Proven experience of more than 5 years in operation supervision/management role in a refinery/petrochemical/oleochemicals industry

Strong technical knowledge of refining/petrochemical/Oleochemicals production and related technology
