Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Production Engineer in our Extraction Plant at PGEO Edible Oils Sdn Bhd Refinery Division (A Member Of Wilmar Group Of Companies) located in Pasir Gudang.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Chinese is essential for effective communication with stakeholders in China.
  • Experience in extraction, flour milling, or the manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
  • Willing to travel as necessary.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with sales personnel regarding product delivery and scheduling.
  • Prepare Daily Production Instructions and schedule tasks for Supervisors.
  • Oversee operations in the Extraction Plant, Warehouse, and Silos.
  • Monitor utility usage and notify the storekeeper for hexane delivery.
  • Ensure the plants operate smoothly and at optimal conditions.
  • Manage daily SAP system figures.
  • Oversee day-to-day plant operations, including calibration and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with the Mechanical and Electrical maintenance teams to complete tasks.
  • Install and commission new equipment, monitor modifications, and oversee upgrades.
  • Assess raw material availability, workplace safety, and the environmental impact of the plant.
  • Select, manage, and collaborate with sub-contractors.
  • Conduct risk assessments, including hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, to ensure the health and safety of staff and the wider community.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across the plant, warehouse, and silo complex.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by superiors to benefit the company.
