JOB PURPOSE

Sales Manager will be responsible for setting budget, overseeing team sales achievement, distribution, merchandising and maintaining sales operations within the allocated expense budget in the assigned Business Unit. He/She leads a team of people to achieve common goals and objectives by motivating, coaching and driving sales. He/She also develops, identifies and assigns projects, activities or initiatives to the respective team member in order to enhance their capabilities and growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the sales team in the implementation of sales and marketing strategies to ensure sustainable business growth and achieve company’s performance targets, market share and distribution objectives within the agreed budget and operational guidelines.
  • Ensure the development and effective implementation of customer specific territory business plans and resource allocation to maximize business results
  • Analyse the ever-changing market situation, identify and evaluate key problem areas to provide solutions and business opportunities.
  • Maintains accurate records on all sales activities within the Business Unit and participates in strategy sessions designed to improve strategies which will benefit sales and marketing efforts.
  • Regular reviews with marketing, clients and key customers to track against shared KPIs and course correct if needed.
  • Work cross-functionally and model collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Hire, train, motivate, coach and develop talents by assigning leadership project & activities
  • Motivate team member – involve team in business planning, forecast and empower them
  • Champion for Selling Skill (Sales ACE) program
  • Conduct performance evaluations for each team member and develop coaching plans as appropriate
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and foster an environment that promotes ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Promote and ensure team member adhere to Zuellig Pharma’s core values when carrying out day-to-day responsibilities and interactions

QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCY

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree qualification in Business, Finance or related field.
  • 4-6 years of leadership and sales management experience in the pharma or consumer healthcare business.
  • Key account management or trade marketing experience will be an added advantage.
