Finance Manager

The Finance Manager, manages day-to-day operations of the accounting functions, tax and other specialized accounting functions for the system. Coordinates timely preparation of financial statements, ensures accuracy and timeliness of audit schedules, and monitors internal controls for the company.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting books and prepare monthly reports to operations team.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, & annual financial statements in accordance with local accounting GAAP.
• Manage the preparation of budgets, forecasts and analysis.
• Review local contracts initiated by local office in particular on the payment terms.
• Document & compile necessary reporting whilst liaising with external auditors.
• Responsible for the timely preparation and completion of all financial / management reports (monthly and year end closing), including reporting to regulatory bodies.
• Manage all financial, accounting and tax compliance functions in accordance with statutory and tax requirements.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary and other external parties on statutory reporting matters.

Qualifications

• At least a Bachelor degree and/or professional certification in accounting/finance) is a must.
• Experience in audit firm, fintech, Crypto or tech-based companies will be an added advantage.
• Proficient with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards and GAAP
• More than 7 years of experience at relevant positions.
• Experience in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Experienced and knowledgeable of accounting software, payroll procedures, and management systems.
• Committed, good sense of urgency, responsible and hard working.
