Overview

Leading a team of product development, sourcing, and regulatory affair to identify the right product (medical consumable and device) to grow the Company. Fully accountable in organizing and participating in identify the right product, selection, and management of supplier, building long-term and stable partnership with suppliers according to Company's product development strategies, keep consistent supply at right cost of procurement and ensure all products are meeting the required regulations in the distribution countries.

Job Responsibilites

  • Lead and drive the innovation funnel/ product development process of the Company, including market requirement and user needs assessment. Ensure adequate pipeline of new product to be commercialised.
  • Ensure all Company’s product meet the relevant regulation and compliance in the distribution countries.
  • Identify source of supply (including prototype development) and lead in the high-level negotiations to achieve competitive rates for the supply of products. Actively support the expediting activities in meeting business development demand.
  • Ensure purchase of product comply with the Company's purchasing policy and procedures and deliver on time in full.
  • Responsible for procurement related contract management, development of standard of the standard agreements by working closely with Company’s legal team.
  • Constantly look out and develop alternative vendors with competitive pricing, services, and quality.
  • Establish key performance metrics to ensure all products are delivered in accordance with the technical specification, contract terms, quality and quantity required.

Requirement

  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or relevant qualification.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in product development and sourcing in healthcare industry.
  • Experience in annual budget planning, product life cycle analysis, spend analysis, costing analysis and risk analysis.
  • Product registration knowledge.
  • Contract management, drafting of contractual terms, and legal documentation.
  • Purchasing negotiation tactics and techniques.
  • ISO/ Local standards and regulations in relation to product registration.
