About This Role

The Channel Manager – Key Chain Pharmacies is responsible for leading a high performing team to deliver commercial objectives of sales, profit, and market share for the Key Chain Pharmacies in Malaysia. The role will be responsible for the overall retail key chain pharmacies channel strategy, will develop a business development plan for key customers in line with market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop & recommend commercial strategy in line with category and brand development plan for the top chain pharmacies.
  • Sustainable and profitable growth and sales target achievement.
  • Establishes a strong collaboration and engagement with the key chain pharmacies to drive profitable growth.
  • Responsible for building a strong team of Key Account Managers and work on their development plans to create impact with customers and in the organization.
  • Responsible for delivering against the commercial hygiene and commercial excellence initiatives for the channel.
  • Works closely with Trade Marketing and Marketing team to identify the development trends and potential of key chain pharmacies to formulate key customer marketing activity plans.
  • Lead net revenue management for Key Chain Pharmacies. Manage investment plans for key customers, develop medium and short-term customer investment plans based on customer scale and development potential, promptly adjust and revise investment levels and forms, improve customer input-output efficiency, and enhance ROI.
  • Lead joint business planning and joint forecasting with key chain pharmacies.
  • Deliver strategic omnichannel commercial plans with the shopper in mind.
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify opportunities for channel plans optimization.


Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • College degree or above.
  • 10 - 15 years Customer management/ Sales management/ Customer marketing experience.
  • Over five years of experience in pharmacy customer engagement, preferably with experience in consumer health and shopper marketing.

  • Team building and leadership experience.
  • Sales strategy formulation ability.
  • Market development trend insight and analysis ability.
  • Business management and commercial negotiation ability.
  • Basic financial management knowledge and skills.
  • Proficient in using the OFFICE operating system, especially EXCEL.
  • Strategic logical thinking ability.
  • Market innovation and change ability.
  • Business thinking influence ability.
  • Personnel coaching ability.
  • Understanding of laws and regulations related to commercial and retail operations.
