SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and optimize network architecture for Wide Area Network (WAN), ISP Network, and Data Center Network, including routers, switches, load balancer, bandwidth shaper, firewall, and related configurations
- Oversee the daily operation of the company’s network, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and optimization to ensure system reliability and efficiency
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for network issues, including root cause analysis and resolution
- Serve as an escalation point for network-related incidents, primarily third-level support
- Lead incident management efforts to quickly resolve network issues and minimize downtime
- Perform root cause analysis for network incidents, identifying underlying issues and implementing long-term solutions to prevent recurrence
- Oversee problem management processes to ensure systematic handling of network problems and continuous improvement of network performance
- Monitor network traffic for security threats and vulnerabilities, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure the procurement and maintenance of network equipment and services
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and policies
- Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and security, providing insights and recommendations for improvements
- Provide guidance, training and mentorship to NMC and Tier-2 Network Operation staff
- Lead or participate in network-related projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating resources
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, meeting technical specifications and business objectives
- Create Knowledge Base documents and mentor NMC and Tier-2 Teams through knowledge transfer sessions
- Perform physical cabling, implementation, and configuration tasks for both business and company networks
- Handle purchase requisitions for all VAS Network equipment and services as needed
- Actively assist Customer Engineering and Sales in post-sales support by attending customer meetings to gather feedback on service and end-user experience
- Collaborate with Project and Engineering architects to design, test, and implement functional IP networks
REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or a related field
- Experience with incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional), or equivalent certifications is a plus
- Certifications from other networking vendors like Huawei, Juniper (e.g., JNCIP, JNCIE), or similar are beneficial
- Good background in IP networking, including hands-on experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., RIPv2, OSPF, OSPF, BGP)
- In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware, Nutanix, or similar, and experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
- Experience in scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Ansible) for network management tasks is an advantage
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with a strong educational background
- Self-motivated, quick learner, and a team player with the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work on a standby basis
- Willingness to travel to gateway or remote sites across the nation as required
