Role Summary

Product Development, Implementation & Management.

Main Responsibilities

1. Assist in conducting market research and analysis to identify customer needs or opportunities for new or enhanced products.

2. Assist in collaborating with stakeholders across departments (Underwriters, Business Units, Claims, Pricing, IT, etc.) to gather feedback, develop and refine products end-to-end.

3. Prepare, update and manage product related documentation, i.e., policy wordings, Product Disclosure Sheet (PDS), proposal form, marketing materials, etc.

4. Collaborate with the Pricing team on pricing matrices.

5. Prepare required documentation and relevant information for securing approvals from Product Development & Pricing Steering Committee (PDPSC).

6. Ensure compliance with product approval processes, BNM guidelines, and other regulatory requirements.

7. Work with UW and IT teams to ensure system requirements are able to fulfil the product functionality and implementation requirements.

8. Assist in preparation of training materials and to provide trainings and guidance on newly launched or enhanced products.

9. Assist in the preparation of the necessary materials for product launching, as well as track and monitor product sales performance.

10. Perform any other duties or job functions as and when required or instructed by supervisor.

Requirements

Qualification

• A recognised Degree in Law, Business, Economics, Insurance, Actuarial or equivalent.

• Professional qualification in insurance (AMII, ACII, AAII, DMII, etc.) is a plus point.

• At least 2 years of experience in insurance industry or legal field.

Experience

• Good basic understanding of the general insurance industry and major products.

• Good grasp of basic insurance principles and practices.

Skills & Competency

• Basic contract and policy wordings drafting skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Proficiency in English language and Bahasa Malaysia – both written and spoken.

• Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

IT competencies

• Basic understanding of system operations and the ability to leverage system capabilities in product development and implementation.
