The Role:

As the Head of Marketing and Communications, this role will assume the responsibility to drive the overall messaging and brand presence of our client’s multi-industry organization. This person involves in shaping and delivering compelling communication strategies to enhance the company’s image, foster strong relationships with key external and internal parties, and ensure cohesive narratives that resonate across various platforms. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to manage high-level communications, build meaningful connections with the public, and navigate the complexities of corporate communication within a listed entity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive communication strategies that align with corporate objectives and support the business's long-term goals across its various subsidiaries.
  • Serve as the primary contact for media outlets and manage the company’s public profile, especially during high-stakes situations. Ensure that all external messaging is consistent, clear, and aligns with the company’s vision.
  • Liaise with investors and other financial stakeholders, providing them with clear, accurate, and timely updates on company performance and developments.
  • Oversee the production of engaging and relevant content that reflects the company’s core values and initiatives. Ensure consistency in storytelling across all communication channels.
  • Drive the company’s presence across digital platforms, ensuring that online communications are effective, up-to-date, and consistent with the company’s broader messaging objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to align messaging and foster relationships with customers, employees, partners, and community members. Support company-wide efforts to ensure unified communications.
  • Understanding of industry-related regulations and ensuring compliance in all public communications. Act as an advisor to ensure communication efforts adhere to relevant legal and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior communication leadership role, ideally within a public listed or multi-industry company.
  • Strong experience in managing high-stakes public and media communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives and manage content production.
  • Experience working closely with investors and handling corporate-level announcements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams across varied industries.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal regulations affecting corporate communications would be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and navigate complex situations with calm and diplomacy.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
