- Prepare full set of accounts and present customized financial reports with the aid of accounting software
- Liaise with Company Secretary and provide necessary financial information and documentation for Company Secretary
- Receive and process all invoices and prepare cheques for payments, handle daily disbursements promptly
- Ensure prompt Billings of work done. Monitor time incurred and strive to work efficiently and productively, within the budgets set for each job
- To liaise and respond to clients regarding their accounting and finance matters and /or queries
- Liaise and work closely with External Auditor to ensure yearly finance audit is closed
- Follow up with internal department heads on matters from the external audit
- Perform yearly tax returns with Inland Revenue Board
- Perform closing of Management Account
- Ensure all banking facilities are well managed and transacted
- Ensure fulfilment of full set account, periodic payment to Vendors, Employees and Negotiators/Agents commission payout including payout of any profit-sharing scheme
- Assist in ensuring procurement matters are well controlled
- Performs other appropriate tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Timely preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets
- Review and control of balance sheet accounts
- Review and control of SST exemptions and submissions
- Handling of company tax computation and corresponding responses with LHDN
- Monitor bank balance / cash flow position and fund placement
- Ensure all cost incurred are appropriately allocated and recharged
- Maintain accurate fixed assets and liabilities records in accordance
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in relevant field.
- Good knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards, relevant tax and audit rules, procedures and guidelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong spreadsheet skills (Excel essential) and good knowledge of Word, SQL Accounting Software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill; able to interact well with all levels of personnel (management & external parties)
- Good planning, organizing, and analytical skill; data collection, compilation and information management with the ability to prioritize task as needed
- Able to work both in a team environment and independently
- Ability and willingness to take on duties outside of job specification
- Good command of English Language, both written and verbal; literacy in other languages such as Mandarin would be a plus point
- Able to start work immediately will be added advantage
