  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Finance Manager (Kuala Lumpur)

We have been engaged by a global leader in the commodity industry to search for Finance Managers to oversee the finance operations in Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with accounting, tax planning, and financing for commodity trading and supply chain, and able to provide effective advice.
  • Possess treasury management capabilities in overseas and cross-border trade, responsible for the overall management of funds and assets.
  • Capable of developing fundraising channels both domestically and internationally, with solid risk control for front-office operations.
  • Understand and be proficient in the settlement processes and logic of commodity trade import and export transactions.
  • Ability to review and analyze group financial statements.
  • Responsible for the audit work of the entire group.
  • Able to handle full sets of accounts including Accounts Receivable (AR),Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet schedules (cash flow analysis) on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor and ensure timely and accurate month-end closing procedures.
  • Develop and implement processes, controls, transaction flows to mitigate risks for the group.
  • Manage tax compliance matters, including SST/EPF filing, filing withholding tax payments and tax planning for efficiency.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or above in business administration, finance, accounting, or related fields; more than 5 years of relevant work experience in the commodity field.
  2. Familiar with policies and regulations of domestic and international capital markets, with a deep understanding of exchange rates and interest rates in international markets, strong data analysis skills, familiarity with financial models, financial statements, and corporate valuation methods.
  3. Experience with ERP and online accounting software eg. Xero, QuickBooks, Netsuite or Zohobooks is preferred
